Pinch of Umami

We are enjoying the Orange salts with various summer recipes. A great addition by Syracuse Salts.

I 1st purchased this from Fruit of the Fungi at the Little Falls Cheese Festival. I am hooked. It is delicious and perfect on almost everything.

My daughter-in-law gave me a present of Pinch of Umami a few months ago. I loved it. When it ran out, I ordered another jar from the website. It is totally different and not particularly good. The original jar had finely ground herbs mixed with fine salt and had a dry powdery consistency. The second jar was much chunkier, if it was not ground. It was also heavy on garlic and was damp with oil. I hope this was just a processing error because I'd like to buy another jar like the original. This is my favorite salt to add to almost anything. Was lucky enough to stumble into this company while in Syracuse for work. This is now my go to salt for finishing most dishes.
